Growing up in a happy, safe, healthy environment is something many of us take for granted. Yet around one in seven children in New Zealand suffer daily. Nutrition, medical support, and access to educational opportunities are what many go without.
We’re giving children and those without means the chance to thrive. This means food, healthcare, clothing, and extracurricular provisions. Ohi kids are given an equal chance to flourish rather than survive.

Ohi is dedicated to making change. We’re improving the lifestyle and learning opportunities for children throughout New Zealand who currently miss out. This translates to insufficient clothing, the means to enhance their talents, or enough food to get through each day. We believe in starting early when every small action makes a big difference to a child’s future.

We’re supported by an incredible team of professionals who give their time so there are no salaries to pay, no fees, or overheads. Every cash donation received by Ohi goes 100% to our little buddies that need it. We give you full transparency on who you are helping and why, so you know everything you give goes where it is needed.
For $142 a week, we feed 29 children at Waitomo Caves School. That’s less than $1 per child each school day, to give them the capacity to learn with their peers
